HOCHTIEF Development to realize Małachowski Square in Warsaw
HOCHTIEF Development Poland has been granted permission to realize Małachowski Square, a unique project with office and retail space in the centre of Warsaw: The project will comprise the restoration of the Count Raczyński Palace, located opposite the Zachęta Gallery.

Part of the project will be the restoration of the building facade’s original appearance, bringing back its extensive window panes on the ground and first floors with interiors on these levels intended for retail use. The redevelopment design has been prepared in consultation with Warsaw’s Conservator of Monuments Office and in accordance with BREEAM specifications.

The planned facade restoration will contribute to regaining the original urban character of the building, reviving that part of the city. Interior decorative details will be preserved as well. Although the interior is to undergo a thorough refurbishment to be adapted to the highest standards in modern office construction, the ceiling height of up to four metres will remain.

A total space of nearly 14,000 sqm will be made available for lease in both the historic building and the new one. Also there will be a two-level underground garage with 100 parking spaces available. The entire office space of Małachowski Square is planned as A-class and will be provided with high quality finishing, state-of-the-art furnishings and equipment.

"We are very proud of this opportunity to restore the true historic appearance of this magnificent building. Małachowski Square – as we have tentatively called our new project – which is a prime example of a well thought-out mixture of historic architecture and state-of-the-art standards for office space design, will soon become one of Warsaw’s most prestigious locations,” commented Piotr Stark, General Manager of HOCHTIEF Development Poland.
